Sharing on the blog today my honest review of the Dipwell Co. acrylic dip nail at-home system. Long gone are the days of sitting in nail salons when I can do my nails at home, anytime I want. Read along as I share what worked, what didn’t, and what I would purchase again.

Build Your Own Bundle
I chose the ‘Build your own bundle (BYOB)’ kit and chose the pick-6 option. I am no stranger to dip nail manicures and knew I wanted to try a larger color range. I chose pretty neutral colors and a glittery red that I wanted to try for Christmas. The kit includes all tools and product, no need to purchase additional manicure tools. There a smaller pick-3 bundle kit available if you wish to try only a few color options.
Build Your Own Bundle (BYOB) Kit – Pick 6

- Base
- Activator
- Sealer
- Brush Softener

Dip Color Powders
Naturale Collection, Dip Color Powder, NA16 – Milky white with a hint of pink. This color would be wedding nails all the way. My favorite color powder so far and the one I reach for the most.
Naturale Collection, Dip Color Powder, NA30 – Milky nude/pink. Very pretty and a nice everyday color.
Pastel Collection, Dip Color Powder, PA09 – Classic pastel pink. Not sure which I like more, NA30 or PA09.
Glitter Collection, Dip Color Powder, GL8 – Striking bright red with gold glitter. Color was perfect for Christmas and the holiday season. Received the most compliments on this powder color.
Naturale Collection, Dip Color Powder, NA12 – Nude glitter that matches my skin tone.
Base & Finish, Dip Nail Powder is included automatically and rounds out the 6 dip powders in the kit

What I liked
Each manicure has easily lasted close to 3 weeks. By the third week, the dip powder comes loose from the bottom on the nail and I pull them off in under 2 minutes.
I was a frequent dip powder customer for years and know what salon quality feels and looks like. My at-home manicure feels like a product and service I would receive at a salon, and my nails feel strong each application.
I am happy with the large color powder range and vibrant color variety. Powders are sold for less than $10 a piece.
I keep the entire kit away from direct light and underneath by bathroom sink.
What I didn’t like
This is a time consuming task! The entire process takes about 30 minutes from start to finish after many attempts and exceling past the learning curve. Be prepared to block off about an hour the first few applications.
The application process is very messy and the bright glitter-red color powder stained my nail and fingers for about 24 hours. I would suggest this activity be done in the bathroom or a room where you don’t mind fallout from the dip powder.
