I am a neutrals kind of gal through and through with makeup. Am I boring? Yes, and I am okay with that! I gravitate towards taupes, browns, pinks and purples simply because the colors are always guaranteed to compliment by brown eyes. So it’s a no-brainer I would get excited about an all pink-brown eye and face palette. Sharing on the blog today my new go-to eyeshadow palette for day and night, the Natasha Denona Glam Face Palette in Light.
What it is: “A palette featuring both eye and cheek essentials in universal, neutral tones—with five ultra- pigmented eyeshadows, a cream blush, and a highlighter.” – Sephora
What I think: The packaging is *chef’s kiss* and feels very “luxury beauty product I am too afraid to use”. The matte shadows blend beautifully and I really appreciate how each shadow is labeled as the suggested placement for each (crease, transition, etc.) The metallic shades are very pretty, but do not have a ton of staying power unless I wet the brush before applying. I usually just stick to the matte shades and that is all I need to define my eyes for daytime and add the metallic glitter at night.
The cream blush is very chalky in texture, and that leads me to reach for other cream blushes that are more emollient. It’s a beautiful terracotta/coral and would work best with a damp sponge IMO. Highlighter is a glitter bomb and a little too out of my comfort zone for day to day. Will reach for the shadows in the pallete over the face products for every day.
