New year, a new attempt at getting my skincare regime on track. I turned 30 last year and it feels like I can see every premature wrinkle and whisker all at once. I know it’s all in my head to some extent, but that’s not stopping me from starting my new preemptive aging skincare journey.
I received these products for free from Influenster and Elizabeth Arden in exchange for my honest review.
My problem areas are dark spots from acne scars, my new found eczema I developed during quarantine, and dry patches around my eyes and forehead. Will this vitamin c serum do the trick?
Sharing on the blog today my quick review of the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum and if it worked to solve my problem areas.

What does it do?
Per the product description from the Elizabeth Arden website, “this satiny dry oil serum helps to visibly brighten skin, even tone and protect against premature aging signs.”
“Encapsulated for freshness, formulated for maximum potency. This luxurious, lightweight dry oil serum combines two powerhouse ingredients in one capsule: Vitamin C for its brightening superpowers, and ceramides to help prevent moisture loss. Dual-action brightening technology visibly diminishes dullness and fights hyperpigmentation, perking up tired-looking skin and balancing tone. Instant brightening power in every dose.” Read more here.
This serum in a nutshell offers added moisture and brightening properties in a single dose capsule perfect for everyday use, and travel friendly!
How I use the serum
At first use, I thought the serum was a little slippy and has a light and watery consistency. You receive a ton of product in one use capsule, so I had to spread the serum from my forehead to my chest. Capsules are very compact and the packaging is well made. The outer plastic shell feels very strong and resistant to punctures, and I’m more comfortable traveling with them not fearing they would break apart or become damaged in any way.
I use one capsule at night before my regular nightly moisturizer (No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi-Action Night Cream) since I have been told before that sun exposure and vitamin c do not mix well. I wouldn’t want to irritate my skin any more than it already is daily even with my sunscreen.
The capsule also protects the vitamin c serum from deterioration, so I feel better about the shelf life of the product and it will most likely stay potent longer than other vitamin c serums.
Final review
I would like to use this product on a more regular basis for at least a few months before my complete stamp of approval, but in my honest review, I did notice that after a week of use my dark spots were less noticeable and my skin tone was more even.
I experienced a lot of no-makeup days when testing this product, so I knew if I could tell that my acne scars were less dark and blotchy without makeup, this was an impressive product that worked fast. To the added moisture benefit, my No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi-Action Night Cream does the majority of the work and my soft skin is a testament to the product. This product had no effect on my eczema.
Overall I enjoyed the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum and would purchase the product myself.
