Self care for me sometimes looks like a long hot shower, a hair mask, and copious amounts of hair care products for my dry bleached hair. You can take away my access to makeup, my shoes, or my purses, but please do not take away my hair care! Good hair actually elevates my mood more than what I am wearing. Do you have a similar affection to products and how they make you feel?
On the blog today I am sharing my favorite hair care products from one of my favorite brands and the top 5 products you should try. I am sharing my favorite products I use to bring back moisture to my dry bleached hair, how I add volume, reduce oil build up, and keep my hair sleek and shiny.

My favorites and how I use them:
Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Finishing Spray
This was the first ever Drybar product I tried and what made me fall in love with the brand. This texture spray smells amazing and I get compliments on my “perfume” every time I use it. I spray this all over on first day and second day hair and use in the place of dry shampoo.
Drybar Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Mousse
Mousse for me usually means a lot of product build up at my roots with no benefits. I heard good things about this and wanted to see for myself if it has been the products I use or user error all along. This mousse doesn’t weigh down my dry, thick hair and I have found concentrating the product first just below my roots and combing it out before blow drying really works to create volume.
Drybar Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray
Love to use this with damp hair and a french or fish tail braid. It helps create the perfect waves and smells amazing.
Drybar 100 Proof Smoothing Oil
I apply a dime size amount to my ends only while my hair is damp and it works perfectly with my holy grail Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer.
Drybar Whiskey Fix Hair Styling Paste
I have never used a pomade before or since after discovering this product, it’s that good! The texture is very waxy, as to be suspected, and I rub a very small amount between my fingers to warm up the product. After the product becomes a little tacky I work in sections separating my brushed curls. Works really well to create texture and make my curls looked lived in.
